Enjoy the present moment by Photographing it
Put perfection aside, focus on your values and live the moment fully with your kids while documenting it
I'd like you to know that...
It's possible to feel more present in your daily life with your children
- Even if you're distracted by everything there is to do
Even if you're in your head because you've got things to worry about
It's possible to feel like you're slowing down time to enjoy it to the full.
- Even if your children are growing up and changing too fast
Even if sometimes, in the evening, you feel you've done nothing with your children during the day
It is possible to feel like the present parent you would like to be for your kids.
But it's not as simple as you thought, right?

This is what I propose:
Photography as a tool for developing your attention and being present with your family on a daily basis
Everything discussed in relation to photography can be applied more broadly to your parenthood.
“The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.”
Dorothea Lange

All the while maintaining your routine and your parenting approach.

I'm Anouk, documentary family photographer, mother of 3 emotionally intense children, I have a master's degree in social work and I've been supporting parents in different ways for 16 years.
Photography is one of the main ways I practice mindfulness, the one that has allowed me to be truly present in my daily life with my children and be a better version of myself.
I photograph my family as well as those of my clients by immortalizing the little moments of daily complicity that make all the difference.
And I'm confident that you can do the same for your family!

And if you're a photographer... I'll pause here for a moment to answer the question, "But am I a photographer?" Because some of you are probably asking it, I understand, it took me a long time to consider myself a photographer. So here's my answer:
You take photos regularly as a hobby (or professionally)
You want to improve your photo skills and devote (at least a little) time to it.
Do you enjoy it?
Then you're a photographer!
So if you're a photographer, I have a more extensive course designed specifically for photographers available at Click Photo School, check it out here.

FAQ
By looking at what's in the viewfinder and concentrating only on that, only on what's happening in front of you for as long as it lasts. And when you get distracted, you come back to what's in the viewfinder. It works a bit like meditation, it's a form of practice for being more in the moment and more attentive to what's happening in the here and now. Photography is recognized as a mindfulness practice.
Oh how I understand you! We're all so short of time as parents! The idea here is to enjoy the moment. Will it take you longer? Maybe a little if you're concentrating on the activity with your kids for longer than you normally would. Maybe not if you're just photographing the time you would have spent with your children in this situation. All in all, I hope it takes you a little longer, so that you can make the most of the present.
In theory, any camera can be used to apply the principles discussed in this guide, including a cell phone. In practice, however, to really benefit from it, I suggest a camera with a viewfinder, because when you look through the viewfinder, it has the effect of physically blocking visual distractions around you. And any device will be preferable to your cell phone for avoiding distractions from notifications. Otherwise, it doesn't matter what the quality is, the important thing is to be able to take pictures.
