Do you feel like...

  • You've done everything you can think of but still feel like the school or coach just don't get your child?
  • You often feel overwhelmed or discouraged thinking of your child experience when you're not there?
  • You know they need something different to feel (and behave) better but you can't seam to get your point across to others?
  • Your tired of feeling like "that" parent, the annoying one always asking for special treatment for their child but you know it's what your child NEEDS
  • You are putting way too much time/energy on that advocacy thing and not enough on what's really important: Your child!

I want you to know that it's possible to

  • Be clear on what to ask for that will have the biggest impact (let's be honest we know we wont get everything our child really needs, but if they can get those most important things it would already be great, right?)
  • Feel less torn when dropping off your child because you know at least ONE person there gets them even when they don't ask for what they need or feeling less afraid when the phone rings during the day
  • Feel less guilty and annoying while asking for accommodations for your child
  • Feel like you have some power over the decisions made for your child and know what to do if things don't go as plan
  • Have a bit more brain space in your life for what really matters: your kids...and yourself

In the live class, Anouk was so involved and responsive with all the students on board. She gave so freely of herself. But she also does it in the course material and shares her knowledge and tips without holding back so that everyone wins.

Anouk's class has been a blessing in disguise. What I love most about her teaching is how "real" she is about her work and what she does. Of course, the good stuff is there too, but it's nice to know that everyone (even the best) are human too!

In everything I do, I want to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel accepted and understood, no matter what you have already experienced in your parenting journey, and have the support you need to move forward with confidence.

I know it's easy to say that, much less easy to do it. I truly believe that it is one of my strengths to offer you this space.

This is feedback I got from a recent group activity:

"

Anouk was a very understanding guide (...). She created a safe space to share our thoughts, feelings and questions. Her presence was very calming. Everyone was allowed to participate in their own way/pace. No guilt, no pressure. The exact opposite of what a normal parenting day looks like?. Thank you for this, Anouk.

Who leads this workshop?

If we haven't met, Hi, I'm Anouk!👋

I'm a mom of 3, I have a master's in social work and I've been supporting parents for 15 years (and that's how long I've been a mom!).

I support parents of emotionally intense kids for whom nothing in the “general parenting advice” seems to work.

Together, we'll uncover what’s going on with your child and find solutions and ideas that work for YOU and YOUR kid(s) so things go more smoothly, you can quit feeling like you are failing at parenting in constant fear of the next outburst and feel confident in trying different things that fit your kids' needs better.

Why I created that workshop?

When my children were younger, I was that parent who didn't wanted to disturb the teacher by asking for special treatments, but I HAD NO CHOICE because my kids where suffering in school (it even started as early as in day care at 3 yo for one of my child).

The status quo was not an option! I had no idea back then what the reasons where as I had no diagnosis for my children, the older ones only got them in high school, so I was advocating only based on what I know where from them as a mom.

And I had no idea what to ask for at first as I didn't know what was possible in school. We even homeschooled for 2 years because nothings was working. But it was not much better when we went back.

Then I started working with other parents of kids with special needs and went with them and supported them to advocate for their kids...and it was so much easier then to do it for my own kids! Made me feel bad for sure!

But now I know why and don't feel bad about it anymore and I understand more of what my children struggles and strengths are and I have a better understanding of what to ask. But each year they change, the setting change and the teachers change so we have to start all over again. That's why having a clear tool is so helpful! So we don't start from scratch every time!

"

I really enjoy this course. I have wondered how present I am with my children when I photograph them, and this course confirms to me that it is in fact a parenting tool that can help me be present at the same time as being immersed in my photography. As I read the material, I find myself saying yes to so many things Anouk says.

She gives you permission to let go of the idea of perfection and return to why many of us started this process; to authentically document our families and our lives.
